Welcome to the Anglican Way Institute Conference Choir Page, located on the St. Andrew’s Academy Website. Below, please see some of the music we will be singing during the conference. Please do download, print out and get familiar with the music and the words. We will have very little time to practice during the conference and will have to make excellent use of the time. The more familiar you are with the music and words, the quicker we will move as a choir.
Please realize that much of the service music will be found in the 1940 Hymnal, so if you have access to one, please review the 2nd Communion Service in the back as well as the Merbecke Creed (from the first communion service). You can access the music via the web with the following links, but you need to download the Scorch plugin before you do.
The Wednesday Evensong will be plainsong. Ferial service music and plainsong canticles: Magnificat and Nunc dimittis.
The rest of the evensongs will employ Anglican Chant canticles for the Magnificat and the Nunc dimittis.
The final evensong will be a festive evensong with the festal service music above and we will be chanting Psalm 15 and Psalm 46.
