Faculty & Staff

Faculty:

Father Brian Foos is the Headmaster of St. Andrew's Academy, where he also teaches Literature and Composition, Philosophy, and Theology and is the choirmaster for the St. Andrew’s Academy Choir.  He studied Bible at the undergraduate level, earned his Bachelor’s in Literature and Composition and his Master's in Theology. He has taught at the secondary and college levels. He is the Rector of Christ the Redeemer & St. Thomas Churches.

Mrs. Kathleen Foos earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and has done graduate work in Theology. She has taught Math, Logic, Greek and Science at the secondary level as well as all ages at the grammar school level. She is the logic instructor and the director of curriculum development for the grammar school at St. Andrew's Academy.

Miss Allison Steinberg studied at New St. Andrews College in Idaho where she earned a bachelor's degree in Classics. She heads the Latin and Greek program at St. Andrew's Academy and also teaches secondary History.  She also tends to teach and encourage old-fashioned dancing to the students.

Mrs. Carol Ann Waterman completed her BA with a double major in Zoology and Biology, earned her Master's degree in Avian Sciences from UC Davis and then worked at the San Diego Zoo. She teaches Science and Math at the primary and secondary levels at St. Andrew's Academy.

Staff:

Mr. Dean Baender studied Computer Science at California State University, San Luis Obispo, worked in the “Silicon Valley” computer industry, and then came to teach Math and Science at St. Andrew’s Academy for three years. He currently works as the systems administrator for the St. Andrew’s website and local network.

Mrs. Joan Jannuzzi has had a career spanning over 48 years including positions from secretary to V.P. Administration. She is a CPS (Certifi ed Professional Secretary), and a 35-year member of Professional Secretaries International where she served as Division Treasurer (California) & International Committee Chairman. She is the bookkeeper for St. Andrew's Academy.

Dr. David John Seel, Jr. is on the National Advisory Board for St. Andrew's Academy and is a frequent guest of the school having been a speaker for the St. Andrew’s Day Conference, the Hilary Lectures and most recently the 2008 commencement.  He is the college and career counselor for St. Andrew’s, which he does via the internet and telephone.  He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland (College Park). He has taught at The Stony Brook School, Long Island, New York, and was the headmaster at Logos Academy in Dallas, Texas.  He serves as a Senior Fellow for the Work Research Foundation and as an adjunct professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is author of The Evangelical Forfeit, Parenting Without Perfection: Being a Kingdom Influence in a Toxic World, and Special Forces in Kingdom Service: The Calling of Prophetic SchoolsHe is currently the Project Director for The North American Christian Education Research Study and the Executive Producer for The Church in the Matrix documentary film.
